When it comes to a smart lock, the basics are simple: lock and unlock. But when your lock is connected to the Alarm.com platform, it becomes part of a much more powerful system, one that lets you manage users, set up automation and stay informed in real time.
Locking the door is just the beginning
A connected lock does far more than a deadbolt. Through Alarm.com, the same lock can create rules, follow schedules and scenes, notify you the moment a door is opened and tie into the rest of your security system. The challenge has always been finding those tools quickly, which is exactly what the latest update solves.
What’s new: shortcuts on the Locks screen
Alarm.com added shortcuts to the top of the Locks Feature Screen to make everything easier and faster to find. Instead of digging through menus, you get a clear entry point into your lock settings, with the most important tools front and center:
- Manage user codes, add, edit or disable a code for each person.
- Set up automation rules, schedules and scenes so doors lock and unlock on their own.
- View lock notifications, see lock-specific activity at a glance.
- Manage Wi-Fi locks, faster setup and control for connected locks.
Why it matters
The result is faster setup, less digging and more confidence that you’re getting everything out of your system. Everyday interactions, letting the kids in, giving a contractor temporary access, making sure the house is locked at night, become a smarter, more connected experience.
